Practices & Directions:

During the academic year, Taizen practices occur in two locations: The University of Maryland in Prince George's County, MD; and Frostburg State University in Allegheny County, MD.

• University of Maryland practices occur Fridays at 4 on the McKeldin mall in the center of campus
• Frostburg practices occur Tuesdays at 4 and Saturdays at 3 on the common grounds outside Frederick hall.

Summer practices for the Taizen are held at Damascus Regional Park on Saturdays from noon until dusk.

Winter gatherings are coordinated on an event-to-event basis.

To Damascus Regional Park From DC/VA:

Take I-270 North Towards Frederick.  Take the Father Hurley Boulevard exit- Exit 16- toward MD-27 / Damascus.

Take exit 16A toward MD-27 E / Damascus. 

Take route 27 about 4 miles, past 4 stoplights.  The 5th light will be the intersection of Kings Valley Road and 27; There is no road sign.  You'll know you're at the right spot if you are at the top of a hill and just passed Cedar Grove Elementary School on your right.  Take a right into Kings Valley Road.

Make a left into the 3rd entrance to the park, practices are centered around the pavillion you will see before you.

To Damascus Regional Park From Baltimore/I-70:

Take I-70 West to the MD-27 S exit- Exit 68- toward Mt. Airy / Damascus.

Take a left onto MD-27 S / Ridge Rd.  Take this road about 5 miles, past the town center, until you hit the Kings Valley Road / Rt. 27 intersection.  Take a left into Kings Valley road.

Again, Make another left, into the 3rd park entrance, where you will see us practicing; there is plenty of parking.
